This research project looked at the application of light steel frame
technology to bioclimatic housing design. The increasingly global
application of construction systems creates challenges and
requires the systems to be flexible. Four house types and four
climatic zones were used to test the construction system by
creating very different house designs. Areas of innovation were
identified for the construction technology, leading to
recommended adaptations of the system to create the flexibility
required.
